Are my variables right for my science fair experiment?

Post by deleted-95464 »

Hello
My experiment is on candy chromatography. I'm trying to determine what color dyes are used to make the different color m&m candy. I have as my independent variable the dye solution. I have as my dependent variable the distance traveled
I think I pretty much understand the difference between independent and dependent variable, but I'm still not sure if my variables above are right.
Can someone help me please?
Thank you!

Your variables sound right so far! Let us know if you have more questions!
