My topic question is : Why does the brain forget pain?: I can't really find any sites w/ information about this that is helpful.

Try doing Google Searches on these keywords as shown here:
"brain and pain"
brain forgets pain

Lots of search results returned but will require some reading
and cut and paste to collect needed information.
