How do you test for pesticides in fruit?

Post by elizabethanddestiny »

So we are doing a project and we need help... We need to know a fairly cheap and easy way to test pesticides. :D Do you have any ideas on what we can do :?: :?: :?: We're going to be testing fruits and veggies, organic and normal and we were going to do a before and after using a special vegetable soap, to see if it really works. Thanks :!:

I think there's a way using some sort of chemical...you chop the food and add the chemical. Maybe it turns different colours according to the level of pesticides?

Thank you so much! We decided to compare organic and non-organic fruit. We are going to test by washing fruit into a glass, then testing the water. This is a link to the kit we decided to use. http://www.filtersfast.com/P-Watersafe- ... st-Kit.asp We are also going to survey how people feel about organic and non-organic fruits (cost, amount of pesticides, taste), and gather some information on different types of pesticides.
Again, thank you for your time. You helped a great deal! :D
