Testable question for a cloud chamber demonstrates how particles decay with radiation

Post by deleted-833134 »

I need a testable question for this project. I really like it, but I need a testable variable to record the effects of. Recommendations for other projects with a testable question is appreciated. Thank you! :D

Hi,

I'm assuming that you're working on the project described here:

https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... cles-decay

The abstract for this project includes a testable question: can a plastic lid shield you from this type of radioactive decay particle? And the project procedure describes making particle observations with the source inside and on top of the chamber (shielded with a plastic lid) as a means to explore the question.

Science Buddies has numerous projects with associated testable questions. You can access any of them here:

https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... cts#browse

Or the physics projects can be seen here:

https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... as/physics

I hope this helps and good luck with your project. Please post again if you have more questions.
