Is there a good way to keep the algae gel from breaking when piping it out of the bag (like icing)? We want to make long strings.

Hi there,

If you want to make longer strings, you would probably want to make sure that the strings are strong enough to handle being longer. To do this, you may want to try leaving the mix overnight instead of immediately going to piping the gel out of the bag which will help strengthen the gel, making it be able to be longer. In terms of piping the gel to keep it from breaking, you could probably use less pressure near the nozzle of the bag and instead apply pressure to where there is a lot of gel so it will extrude itself out without having any extra pressure from any other directions besides just trying to get out of the bag. Hope this helps.
