Question about electrolyte activity

Post by BDSJS2026 »

I want to test the effect temperature has on electrical conductivity in liquids. The directions for the electrolyte activity say to measure amps and use the equation they give to convert to Siemens. But can I also measure resistance on the multimeter? Is there a certain setting like the 200 milli/micro amps the directions give for current?

Hi,

Measuring current and using the equation might better match the activity's focus than measuring resistance.

The 200 milli/microamps measure current (not resistance), depending on the specifics of the project. You can also check with a science teacher and learn more at this Science Buddies link: https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... multimeter

Hope your experiment goes well!
