Finding effective and affordable way to measure algae growth
Finding effective and affordable way to measure algae growth
Brainstorming a topic for a research project, and I wanted to identify the effect of sediment, specifically dirt, on the growth of algae in water. The topic is mainly meant to mirror the effect of riverbed erosion on bodies of water.
However, i’m struggling to figure out a way to measure the algae, without having access to expensive tools.

Bacterial Resistance Experimental Procedure Clarification
Bacterial Resistance Experimental Procedure Clarification
Hello, I am currently preparing to conduct the“Bacterial Resistant Materials and the Best Disinfectant” experiment, and I’m not sure if I’m understanding the procedure correctly. Are you supposed to introduce bacteria to the cleaning materials in the first half (like using a piece of an old used sponge) or are you supposed to use clean, new supplies and incubate them in saline…

Statistical test for temperature over time?
Statistical test for temperature over time?
For my project, I wanted to see how changing the colors of the roofs of buildings would affect indoor temperatures. I'm a STEM student humbly asking for your assistance. I'm now working on a research project about the effectiveness of an alternative laundry bleach (which is my product) and one of my quantitative indicators are about comparing the stains removed on clothes after using stain removers of difference mixtures. I found your reply on a student way back in 2017 that you can measure the clothes quantitavely via ImageJ, my problem is I don't know how to use it and I don't have…
