Question
Question
Hi I'm doing a science project I found in science buddies called "the fluffiest muffins: Flour type and muffin density." I am using wheat flour, Almond flour and all purpose flour in a recipe that I can control the ingredients, but is it better to measure batter by volume or weight when I put it into the pan?

Candle carousel project
Candle carousel project
Hello,
Question about the candle carousel project. We're testing using a timer or stopwatch. We plan to begin the test with 1 candle, then 2, 3 and 4. When we count the rotations using 2 candles for example, do we need to count how many times the blade with the mark passes over both candles. Or do we only check how many times the marked passes over 1 candle throughout the trials regardless of how many are added,?

Need help for my Science fair project
Need help for my Science fair project
Hello for my science fair project I am doing this one called “how far can you throw (kick) a ball?” And I was wondering if the website that it told me to go on it would allow me to do this on phone or iPad or just on a computer I am having a hard time trying to figure it out.
Re: Need help for my Science fair project
Hi - it looks like the "Tracker" program is only available for computers and not phones or iPads. If…

Hello, I am helping my daughter (8th grader) with self driving car project - https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science-fair-projects/project-ideas/Robotics_p042/robotics/arduino-self-driving-car.
Our aim is to try 3 or more distance sensors such as HC-SR04 and collect data and prove which sensor is best. What we are confused about is:
1. What sensors like HC-SR04 can work with the blue robot kit.
2. Do we have to have 3 programs for 3…

RFID Reader and Tags for Project:Keeping it private
RFID Reader and Tags for Project:Keeping it private
So, on the project Keeping it private you have a product listed for RFID reader and tags to get for the project but when I press the link, it says the product is no longer available. So I’m wondering if there are any other reliable RFID readers and tags kit that I could use in replacement.
Thank You

Iron in Cereal
Iron in Cereal
When experimenting with the cereal and magnets and collecting the iron samples, I know you will clearly be able to see which cereal contained the most iron. But how do know, or measure, whether or not it matches what the nutrition label says? Like how are we supposed to know if one little pellet of iron collected is the same as the 25% DV on the label?!
Re: Iron in Cereal
Hello!
To figure out if the amount of iron you got matches the % DV on the label, you…

Absorbption of Heat
Absorbption of Heat
Why do red objects absorb less heat than blue objects if the blue being reflected means that less energy is being absorbed than the red?
Re: Absorbption of Heat
It seems like the absorption of heat depends mostly on how dark or light a color is and not on the color itself. I would guess that red usually absorbs less heat because its usually lighter, but a dark red would heat up quicker than a light blue.

Science Fair Help
Science Fair Help
Hello,
I have a science fair coming up soon. For my experiment, I will use CDC recommended hand soaps and sanitizer on public areas bacteria and record my results to see which soap/sanitizer removed the most bacteria. I have a couple of questions for the experiment:
1. Is "Got Bacteria?" a good title? If not, how can I improve it.
2. Is a good question "Which CDC recommended hand soap or sanitizer work best to remove bacteria?".
Also, I'm still thinking…
