Explanation for Rusting of Iron Nail Project!
Explanation for Rusting of Iron Nail Project!
Hello! I am currently working on a project about rusting of iron nails and how the corrosion changes depending on the metal used to 'protect' (wrap) the iron nails with. The reactions in this experiment rely on normal iron being Iron(III) and rusted iron leeching a form of Iron(II).
The experiment is fairly qualitative, and involves use of the reaction between potassium ferricyanide and Iron(II)…

Please help on a titration lab!
Please help on a titration lab!
I have a titration lab where we titrated sprite that was flat. One point of confusion for me was the question that was asking about why it was important for the sprite to be flat, and what impact it would have on the data if it wasn’t flat. I can’t seem to comprehend this part. Could anyone explain it to me? Thank you!

Question 1- The supervisors at the nature reserve are concerned that the drought situation will affect both populations of deer mice of gray and brown fur in a similar way. Is this true? Why or why not? What can you infer about the genetics of the deer mice based on the observation that they have two different physical traits for fur color?
In your answer, mention the difference between phenotype and genotype and discuss how it affects the adaptation and…

Idea on how to "cure" cancer
Idea on how to "cure" cancer
Hello,
I was wondering if I could get some help on a few things. First my idea that I have is that if I could create a DNA sequence that would create a poison inside the cell only if the cells Cyclin B levels got to above what they should be at. I first need help trying to figure out the process you would use in order figure out cyclin levels in a normal cell and then in a cancerous cell. Next I would need help…

Tornado Damage Science Fair Project
Tornado Damage Science Fair Project
My student created her own experiment to test if building height factors into whether or not it will remain standing in a tornado. She built three buildings of varying heights (short, medium height and tall) and used a box fan as wind and observed and recorded damage. Each building was made with the same blocks and the fan was the same distance from each building during each trial. Also, the fan was on high for the same…

Affect of Fertilizer on Photosynthesis
Affect of Fertilizer on Photosynthesis
Hi
I'm working on my Science Fair project and I am wondering about doing the floating leaf assay experiment. I would like to try and make it an experiment though that relates to water quality. Would something like adding something sulphur or nitrogen based to the water that the disks are floating in make a difference to the rate of photosynthesis or would this have little impact?
There is a lot of talk around at the…
