Calculating the magnetic flux
Calculating the magnetic flux
Hi, I am doing the experiment posted on this website called High Speed Magnets: Exploring Faraday's and Lenz's Laws (the experiment is at: https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... -lenzs-law). More specifically, I am doing the experiment on how the rate of change of the magnetic flux affects the voltage of electricity induced in the coil (Faraday's law). The rate of change of the magnetic flux will be made different by dropping…

More specifically, I am doing the experiment on how the rate of change of the magnetic flux affects the voltage of electricity induced in the coil (Faraday's law). The rate of change of the magnetic flux will be made different by dropping the magnet through the coil at different heights. From that, I will know the…

What to research for information
I am doing a science fair project on finding out if more people are right or left sided and I was wondering if you could help me figure out what to research for more information on the subject?

Help!! How do you increase total harmonic distortion?
Help!! How do you increase total harmonic distortion?
Hi, I'm investigating the relationship between total harmonic distortion (THD) of an alternating current and power output in my physics project. I'm planning on using a multimeter to measure current frequency and then calculating THD using the equation THD=[√(I²-I₁²)]/I₁, where I₁ is the RMS of the fundamental wave. I have never done a practical using alternating current before (maybe…

I am currently doing a science project where I test to see if dental chews help reduce oral bacteria species in a dogs mouth. With this I am going to swab a dogs mouth before and after given a dental chew. What is the best way to count bacteria without growing it? Can I make a bacterial suspension and place in hemocytometer? What is the best way to do this?

I am doing a science project where I am testing to see if dental treatments help reduce bacteria in a dogs mouth. So I am going to take a swab of the dogs mouth before and after given a dental chew, I will then transfer this to agar plates to grow? What is the best method to do this? Would I need a control? How do I count bacteria after it is grown?

Falling objects
Falling objects
Hi! Need some help for my son's science fair project about gravity and falling objects. He is supposed to make different objects fall at the same time from the same height to test if they hit the ground at the same time or not. We are having a hard time selecting the objects. We need 2 objects of same mass, 2 objects of same size, but different mass, and two objects of different size/shape but same mass. Could you post recommendations of household items we can…
