How to measure liquids for an experiment
How to measure liquids for an experiment
MINIMAL TIME
My friend and I are doing the experiment called "Using a Laser to Measure the Speed of Light in Gelatin" and we were wondering how much of each liquid we need per container as we are doing this experiment with many different liquids. We were also wondering if to measure the liquids by the amount such as a cup of each liquid or by the weight

If I'm poking through the paper on one side, when I flip it over isn't it the opposite pattern? (upper right becomes upper left?)

Hydrogel Face Masks
Hydrogel Face Masks
Hi I am working on a research project on hydrogels and wanted to as why was the chamomile tea used in the face mask? Was it required to actually make the hydrogel or was it just added for its hydrating properties? Could I make it without the tea or is it required in the actual preparation of the hydrogel? Thanks!

Help! I stored petri dishes incorrectly
Help! I stored petri dishes incorrectly
Hello! My 5th grader is doing the 'How Well Do Disinfectants Work?" experiment and we labeled the top of the dish and stored them that way (agar side down). 24 hrs later there is a lot of condensation on the top/non-agar side. After some googling we see that dishes should be stored agar side up so that condensation doesn't drip onto the agar and damage or slow colonial growth. We flipped them over but did we ruin…

Glow stick science project
Glow stick science project
I am trying to do the glow stick science project on science buddies and I am not sure of the directions. Do I get a fresh new glow stick when I add hot water and then another fresh new glow stick when I add the cold water? Or do I keep the same glow stick from start to end by just first measuring room temperature, then add cold water, and then hot water?

My seaweed fabric grew mold?
Re: My seaweed fabric grew mold?
Hi!
I'm sorry to hear about the mold growth on your project. To prevent the mold from spreading, you could try removing the moldy area from the rest of your fabric. The mold growth may have been caused by contamination in the alginate mixture. To prevent it in the future, thoroughly clean any containers you use. It may also help keep the mixtures cool, such as keeping the sodium alginate mixture refrigerated at all times.…

Explain Energy Phenomenon.
Explain Energy Phenomenon.
Hi, I am new here. I have a question that always puzzles me.
Please help.
I have clocks from quartz, classic cheap standalone AA tableclock. I've had it about 10 years. My friend I used to live with died 2017, he was the last to replace the battery, since his death, noone has ever touched the clock. The clock has stopped moving 2 years later (2019) as expected to change which i have sentimentaly ignored, but sometimes in the cold weather,…

Voice Recognition Arduino - Record Untrained
Voice Recognition Arduino - Record Untrained
We are using an Arduino Uno to train voice commands for a lamp. We are able to train the "On" and "Off" commands using Train 0 and Train 1. Both are trained successfully When we attempt to load the commands we keep getting a "Record Untrained" response. We have tried almost every Baud Rate available, and are certain that our hardware is connected properly and functioning. Any suggestions would be…

I need advice for a science experiment
I want to do an experiment about the evolution of friendships groups over time but I don't know how to construct it. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Re: I need advice for a science experiment
I would suggest conducting surveys. You could find people in friend groups and find out how long they have been friends, what has changed since then, and anything else that you want to know. …
