Egg Density
Egg Density
I am helping my fourth grade daughter do a project on egg density. My problem is that I don't feel like the results are conclusive on which is more dense...the raw egg or the hard boiled egg. Maybe she didn't write down the results properly...but it appears that the egg weighs about the same whether its raw or hard boiled.
Can anyone help me with this. Going nuts over eggs in NC.

Would socks and a plastic container with lid on, be a good material for a protective shell for the egg drop?
I'm dropping the egg from 5 feet, 7 feet, and 9 feet.
I'm supposed to find and answer for the question but I can't find anything.
Re: egg drop
Hi!
Egg drops are super fun! You have the right idea of padding the eggs fall with the socks, which slows down the impact on the ground. Something you should consider is that there are two ways to minimize the force of the…

Egg Substitutes
Egg Substitutes
I was planning to do this kind of investigatory project = https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science-fair-projects/project_ideas/FoodSci_p002.shtml?fave=no&isb=c2lkOjEsaWE6Rm9vZFNjaSxwOjEscmlkOjEwMzI4NzQ0&from=TSW.
There are different egg substitutes for three ways of cooking a food with an egg in it (we will be using egg substitutes though) like leavening, thickening and binding.
I want to ask if there are still different egg substitutes for…

Egg Drop
My teacher assigned us an egg drop project. He will provide a raw egg and a small lunchroom-size milk carton. Our job is to bring in materials to put in the milk carton to pad the egg, preventing it from cracking when it is dropped from various heights.
Rules:
All materials must fit INSIDE the milk carton.
NO PARACHUTES.
What do I put inside my milk carton? This project will be graded based on how long my egg lasts.

Chicken Eggs
Chicken Eggs
My daughter is going to do an experiment involving eggs from our flock of backyard chickens. Because the eggs will not come from a store, they are required to be treated as a level 2 biohazard and we need to complete additional forms as well as conduct the experiment in a BSL-2 Lab. My question. is in filling out the forms required by the Inernational Rules for the INTEL Science Fair, how is a chicken egg supposed to be treated? Is it fresh tissue, a fresh organ…
