Handedness Variables
Handedness Variables
Hey! I am doing an experiment on body handedness. I am testing hands, feet, and ears. I am confused what my variables will be for the experiment. Can someone help me?
Re: Handedness Variables
Dear akm08,
Sounds like a cool experiment! Before proceeding, what aspects of handedness are you testing? Are you testing the number of X handed persons in your experiment? Are you testing what happens to people if they are right versus left handed dominant…

Printing out Trifold Display (urgent)
Printing out Trifold Display (urgent)
Hello! I'm new to advanced science competitions for high schoolers and am hoping to compete in ISEF this year :D !
From the projects I've seen, a lot of people print out one big "poster" of their content and stick it onto their trifold display rather than sticking many papers onto it. What are typical practices for doing this? I have a layout ready for printing, and am also wondering where I could get these things…

Lemon Battery
Lemon Battery
My lemon battery is currently not working and I want to try it another time... am I able to reuse the galvanized nails and crocodile clips? If I decide to retry the experiment a day later, will the lemons be okay to use once again or do I need to get new lemons?
Re: Lemon Battery
Hi - you can always reuse the alligator clips. You can reuse the nails as long as they are not too corroded, but that should not be a problem if you only tested the battery briefly.…

Re: how to test
Hello,
It seems like the easiest way to test this would be to find…

Getting Research Mentors/Research Institution
Getting Research Mentors/Research Institution
Hi!
I've read up on finding research mentors and know the typical ways to do it, but how would a student without much experience besides independent research get approval to conduct research at a university/research institution? From what I can see so far, most student researchers do this by winning an award/recognition first. At that point, would you reach out to colleges directly or would they…
