my daughter and her schoolmate have picked a project on training guide seeing dogs. How could they present this
without using a real dog on a tri-fold board. if anyone has an suggestions it would be very helpful.

Re: animal adaptations
Hello,
If they are not allowed to actually use a dog, perhaps they could present a few training theories that they believe will lead to the more efficient training of dogs. This could be presented along with evidence to back up their ideas, through books or websites on training guide seeing dogs.
Here is a site with some methods for training dogs: http://www.waiiri.com/PDF/Dog%20Training%20Theory.pdf
And here is another website on training guide dogs: http://www.ehow.com/how_5019192_train-dogs-blind.html
Hope this helps,
Nithin T.

Re: animal adaptations
If they are able to use the real dog in their experiment but cannot bring it to the science fair with them, perhaps they can set up a short video showing highlights of their experimental work? Or maybe even still pictures could show some of their work.
If they are not able to use a real dog, I am curious what the question is they will be answwering with their project.

Re: animal adaptations
If the project is just on training the dogs, then you can easily put up pictures along with your data and findings on the tri-fold board, without using and showing a real dog...And if you are not allowed to use real dogs at all, then perhaps it will be difficult to conduct this experiment because you would need to find all of your information online...
Hope this helps!
