I'm a year 7 doing a science fair project and I'm trying to replicate a reusable water system which includes funneling and water transportation. I'm currently just struggling with water transportation since I haven't yet found a way to make water go upwards back into the main tank where most of the water is stored. Please help.

Re: Making Water Move Upwards Through a Pipe
yxpeng - Without knowing what your limitations are, obviously some form of energy is going to be required to move the water upwards through a pipe. A pump, driven by electricity, wind or solar energy is a thought. For a classic solution, research Archimedes Screw, another elegant solution. Perhaps if you tell us more, we can be of more help.

Hi yxpeng,
Just following up with a few links for the things Rick described. Here we have a video showing how to make an Archimedes screw:
https://youtu.be/PszGCm1PqSo
And this project uses an electric pump, listed in the Materials tab:

(there's a bunch of other circuit stuff in that project that you can ignore)
Hope that helps,
Ben
