I am in need of help badly
Me and my partner are supposed to create a hypothesis. Over the rest of the school year were are supposed to come up with an idea. We had a professor come in and talk to us and he told us our hypothesis is bad because it is all based on literature yet we have to find a hypothesis that we can back up by science.

What area of science are you interested in? A hypothesis is just a question that you think up and decide to answer by doing good experiments and statistical verification.
If the hypothesis has to deal with a project that YOU can do using the resources available then you are limited in your choices.
Do you want to test something on people? You can do simple things like questionnaires or puzzles, but more advanced studies require special permission.
You can do experiments with harmless bacteria like E coli K12 which you can buy from Carolina Biologicals.
You can work with insects, amoebas, slime molds, plants, fungi and the environment--so you have a lot of possibilities. You just have to think about what interests you and try to find some question to ask that you can test by experiments that you can do working with what you have.
Post again with some specific ideas of what areas interest you. If you haven't already done so, check Scibuddies project Wizard which can help you narrow down your interests to some more specific areas. You can find it here:

Good luck!
