enthalpy of rain
Normally a change of phase (in a fixed system) requires an input or extraction of heat. If so, shouldn't it get hot when it starts raining, given that megajoules of energy must be being released by the change from gaseous water to liquid water. In my experience however, rainfall is usually cool and refreshing?

Hello,
Are you doing a hands-on science project on this topic? If so, please provide more details about your project, including your hypothesis and the experiments you are planning. If your question is not related to a hands-on science project, there are other sites on the web where your questions would be more appropriate.
Thank you,
