Yeast Aeration

Post by annabanana2004 »

Hello,
I am going to do the experiment An Aerobic Exercise: Yeast Metabolism with and without Aeration. I was wondering if it would change the results if I aerated the yeast solution for a longer amount of time. I was also wondering what the purpose of having both an aerator pump and an oxygen stone. Thank you.

Hi,
The oxygen stone is a passive device and will not aerate the solution without the aerator pump.
Good Luck!

Thank you for replying to my question. I only have a pump. Will the experiment work correctly without the stone?
