bioinformatics analysis of genes

Hi,
I have planned to start up with a new project towork on for a month but really getting confused with the ahat kind of work to do.
I am basically a bionformatics person..
I have worked on 2-3 projects on protein level. Now, I would like to work on gene level.

I am specifically interested in Brain Cancer but ready to work on any of those 3 genes.
I would like to work extensively on one of those or all the three genes that are signifiant in the research of cancer.
Could you please suggest me some idea on what kind work could be carriedout nad hw to start with.
Your suggestions would be in great help to me.
