i am currently about to commence my undergraduate project on a material science related topic. i really will need some advice on the type of science buddies topic suitable for college students in their final year of their first degree program. thanks

Because you are a college students, you will be more likely to get help on a different set of online forums. That said, materials science projects rated "advanced - hard" might be relevant to you. Those projects could be listed in categories such as chemistry, physics, or engineering, among others.
