You can either search through the topics by subject area (chemistry, physics, etc) or take a quiz at:

to be guided to subject areas you might find interesting. For example, I am a chemist, but when I take the quiz, it suggests I try projects in other physical sciences like physics or astronomy as well as chemistry.
I suggest you also review the science fair guide for help formulating a question. "The effect of blank on blank" is not the most exciting topic.
