Please look at our guide for how to conduct an experiment.

https://www.sciencebuddies.org/mentorin ... ndex.shtml

Anything can be an experimental observation (in that you should be taking notes about what is happening in the experiment- "the water turned cloudy', "i weighed out 19 grams"... whatever) but the detailed notes about the independent and dependent variables are what are critical for proving or disproving your hypothesis.

If you are still confused after looking at the guide, post back here with your hypothesis and your experiment, and we'll help you indentify the most important things to observe when doing the experiemnt.
