I need ideas for experiments to do with Global Warming. Anthing really I'm in need for ideas for Global Warming. I would like for it to have to do with the full idea of Global Warming. Please reply ASAP . Science Fair is in on 1/25 . Starting on Sunday . Thanks so much !!!
PS. Any Ideas on good websites for Global Warming at a 7th Grade Level ?

Re: Global Warming Experiments
Hi robreidr6,
I see that you are interested in global warming. Since your science fair is in a week, let's get you started off quickly.
Ideas for global warming experiments can be found by typing in "global warming experiments" into any search engine. Many results came up when I did that.
This site has a lot of experiments concerning global warming that you could use to base your experiment on; it even divides up the experiments into grade levels depending on their difficulty: http://www.juliantrubin.com/fairproject ... rming.html.
Also, try this one: http://www.missmaggie.org/mission2_part ... lwarm.html
In addition, here are some helpful sites with information about global warming:
http://www.howstuffworks.com/global-warming.htm
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Global_warming
http://www.tamug.edu/labb/Global_Warming_Info.htm
Hope this helps! Keep us updated with how your project goes!

Re: Global Warming Experiments
Have you looked at the projects suggested in Science Buddies? There are several in the Weather and Atmosphere projects that you could connect to global warming:
https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... ?from=Home
Suppose you decide to do the Weather and Climate in Your Neighborhood project. (I'm not sure whether you've done science fair projects before or not; another one along the same lines would be the Dry Spells, Wet Spells project.) Global warming predicts that many areas will have warmer temperatures. You can use Internet databases to look at the average, maximum, and minimum temperatures for each season over a span of ten or more years. You can then ask whether the temperature in your area is increasing, as you would expect it to for global warming. In addition to the websites listed on the Science Buddies project page, the NOAA (http://www.noaa.gov) also keeps track of air and ocean temperatures. If you're interested in something like that and let me know what state you're in, I can try to find the NOAA page for you.
One thing to be careful of in an experiment like this (seeing if actual temperatures match the global warming model) is that some areas are actually expected to decrease in temperature because of global warming. It sounds contradictory, but it has to do with how air and ocean currents distribute heat throughout the world.
Good luck with your project!
