hi, im starting on my hypothesis and i a bit confused. Do i come up with my own vriables or are the in the experiment?

I'm going to move your topic to physical sciences since it is related to chemistry.
To answer your question, yes, you do need to identify what the variables are in the experiment. You don't need to necessarily come up with new ones, unless you want to modify the project and test additional variables.
