What are the lungs sponge-like tissue that is inside them made of?

This is a very good question.

There are many parts that make up the lungs, such as the brochioles, epithelial cells, smooth muscle tissue and the alveoli.
I assume that you are talking about the smooth muscle tissue inside the lungs. It is made up of spindle shaped, unstriated cells with single nuclei.
