Culturing P. Bacterias/Cutibacterium acnes to target with laser therapy.

Post by LaneTompkins »

I have access to a wide variety of lasers as my mentor works in a dermatology office. I need help figuring out how to cultivate Cutibacterium acnes. I am currently thinking of using this: https://www.atcc.org/products/6919, but I'm not sure how I can grow it I'm multiple different petri dishes in order to apply the laser therapy to the dish. How much of this Cutibacterium would I need to grow it in multiple dishes? Would It need to be on some form of nutrient agar? Would I need a yeast because the bacteria is anaerobic? I'm not educated in the field of microbiology and need assistance with these topics.
