How can we confirm at home if what was extracted is actually strawberry dna?

Hi!

Confirming that the strands are in fact DNA would most likely require the use of advanced laboratory machinery. However, the strawberry DNA should appear as clear/white strands. If the procedure is followed correctly, the white strands should float to the top of the strawberry mixture and should be visible amongst the red liquid.

In this procedure, detergent will be added to open the cells, which will then release DNA. Salt will then be used to clump the DNA strands, and the DNA should become visible following the addition of alcohol.
