Does paper weight affect the distance a plane flies?

Working with 3 types of weight. cardstock paper 65#, Copy paper 20# and text weight paper 80#
Not sure how or where to start. Help!

Hi Helen,

Welcome to SciBuddies! There is a ScienceBuddies project very similar to yours right here: https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... #procedure

While this does lead you to a procedure for an experiment testing how drag affects a plane, this procedure can totally be modified to test planes made of different paper types! You can simply keep the same paper airplane style for all three materials (in this case, one of your controlled variables is the paper airplane style).
