Ask an Expert: Help with DNA Fingerprint Simulator - TACG Restriction Mapping Biotool
My daughter wants to do something with the project "What makes a DNA FIngerprint Unique" but we are not able to get the TACG Restriction Mapping webpage at the UMass Biotools site to work. When we click "submit sequence" we just get a blank page with nothing on it. Does anyone have any tips or advice for how to get that site to work or a new site that will work? We really want to do something with DNA Fingerprinting.

Hi,
I just tried generating a random sequence, copying it and pasting it into the program box for raw data and clicking Submit. And, it seemed to work. I got the lists of restriction enzymes that cut that particular 1000 base-pair DNA:

Try it again and let me know what happened.
