Hi!

I'm sorry to hear about the mold growth on your project. To prevent the mold from spreading, you could try removing the moldy area from the rest of your fabric. The mold growth may have been caused by contamination in the alginate mixture. To prevent it in the future, thoroughly clean any containers you use. It may also help keep the mixtures cool, such as keeping the sodium alginate mixture refrigerated at all times. Additionally, ensure there is adequate airflow from the top and bottom while letting the biofabric dry since mold typically grows in moist environments.
