Question about lemon battery

Post by Challack »

My son will be doing lemon batteries. He will be testing voltage from one lemon, then two, three and four in a series and then retesting each 3 times to get an average. Can I just add an additional lemon to each hook up for the tests? Basically, will I need to get 10 lemons (1+2+3+4) or just 4 per test… 30 or 12 overall? Thank you!

Hi - you can just add one lemon at a time when connecting them in series, so you would only need 12 total here if he wants to do three trials with different sets of lemons.
