I just started my science project. Its on the chapter of Mechanical Advantage and Efficiency, We have to find the definition of a word we were assigned, and we need to present with a bristol board, a few facts and the definition. I would just like to know the few basic things on Torsion and a few good sites on the science of Torsion
Thanks in advance!!

Since you are looking for reference information and not science project help, I suggest that you perform a search on the Internet for torsion and any other terms you have been asked to describe. Major web search engines such as Google and Yahoo are good starting points.
I caution you to be very careful about where the information comes from. There are a lot of crazy sites out there with incorrect information. Make sure that whatever facts you report are corroberated by more than one site. In my experience, university, government (including NASA), industry (3M) and reference (Wikipedia, Dictionary.com) are reliable. Somebody's blog may not be trustworthy.
Best wishes!

Have you tried googling for torsion and mechanics or torsion and engineering?Shan_Per wrote:I just started my science project. Results from universities are probably about research on this area and may be too complicated for your needs. Results returned from dictionaries or encyclopedias are probably most helpful for your homework. Also, I would look in the glossary of your texbook. I'm sure there is a definition there.
