difficulty levels
Do the difficulty levels mean anything besides how hard it is? Do they reflect grade levels at school, or how else do the difficulty levels matter in choosing a science project?

bmorey,
The difficulty levels associated with each Project Idea are roughly associated with grade level. We have a description of them here:
https://www.sciencebuddies.org/mentorin ... ulty.shtml
They should also give you an idea of the time required to do the project and the level of science understanding you'll need in order to complete the project. Certainly if you are more advanced in your science studies you are welcome to try a more challenging project.
Good luck on your project!
