Hello and welcome to the Science Buddies Forum! Have you looked at the Science Buddies Solar Oven Project yet? https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... p018.shtml. The cost is suggested to be between $20 and $50. You should be able to find cardboard boxes at various retailers (hopefully you can get them before they're crushed!). Otherwise, there are very few materials one needs to purchase.

I also googled "inexpensive solar oven" and found several ideas: http://ezinearticles.com/?How-to-Make-a ... id=1391689 http://www.associatedcontent.com/articl ... nsive.html and http://www.instructables.com/id/Simple-Solar-Cooker/. Good luck and keep us informed on how it works out!
