HELP US PLEASE

AFTER you've done your research and concluded your experiments, it is time to prepare for the science fair. Ask specific questions about preparing for a science fair, including how to set up your display board, how to prepare a presentation, etc. (Please post questions about selecting a project or conducting your experiment by posting in the appropriate "area of science" forum.)

HELP US PLEASE

Post by momkee_kee »

We were unfortunate enough to have to change schools in mid year...with that said we have a science project due on February 16th. We chose Magic Milk...or Hydrophobic vs hydrophilc, if thats even worded correctly. We bought a title kit...and only 4 of the titles are just like his teacher suggested for the proper use of scientific method. His teacher phrased to me as if she didnt expect him to make an A, because of him coming in so late (thats not fair to him)....that kinda made me angry and more challenging to make this project perfect. I need to know how to properly word it all so that im helping my 9 yo make that A....PLEASE HELP US ASAP Thanks for your time gang! :D

Hi momkee_kee,

We have a guide that walks you step by step through the scientific method, from forming a question/hypothesis, writing up a research paper, and how to do the experiment and analyze results.

Check it out here: https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... ndex.shtml
Just look on the left hand side where it says "How to do science fair project"

Each page in our guide even has a checklist at the end so your son makes sure he has all the important parts in his project.

We also have many project ideas if the kit is confusing. Many of our projects only take a day to complete.

You can browse the project ideas from this page: https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... deas.shtml
You can change the difficulty level to K-5 by pushing on the purple buttons once you have clicked on a science area to browse.

We also have a "Topic Selection Wizard" that asks students questions in order to recommend project ideas for them. You can find that here: https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... gister.php

Good luck and let us know if you have more questions!
