I need help with some definitions Please help me

AFTER you've done your research and concluded your experiments, it is time to prepare for the science fair. Ask specific questions about preparing for a science fair, including how to set up your display board, how to prepare a presentation, etc. (Please post questions about selecting a project or conducting your experiment by posting in the appropriate "area of science" forum.)

I need help with some definitions Please help me

Post by PKFlash »

I am in 8th grade and my science fair project is about how salty does water have to be to make an egg float and I need help finding these definitions: relative concentration, absolute concentration, stock, concentration. I tried looking them up, but I need definitions that I can understand.

Hi,

Here is a simple explanation of density:

http://www.elmhurst.edu/~chm/vchembook/120Adensity.html

After reading the one above, this page might help:

http://www.onr.navy.mil/Focus/ocean/res ... water2.htm

Here is the Science Buddies Project Writeup on the idea you are talking about:

If these resources have still left you confused try doing a google search on the term you are cibfused about, like “relative density”. Usually you will find a good answer in the top three or so hits listed on the search results.

Good luck,
