To whom it may concern,
A friend of mine, who is currently working on a science project dealing with biochemistry, has a question. Her current research involves discovering and determining factors that inhibit or slow the growth of Caulerpa Taxifolia. She has found that chlorine impedes the plants growth. She is wondering what the chlorine does to the Taxifolia. For example, does it destroy the cellular function, impede photosynthesis, and other such things. This is vital information. She greatly appreciates this assistance.

This site has some information about the eradication of Taxifolia with chlorine:

http://southcoastdivers.com/toxicw1.shtml
Basically, "The chlorine poisons the seaweed"(sounthcoastdivers.com). I don't know exactly how this works, but I will try to find out and get back to you.

Tina,
What is the name of the scientist who told you this information. My friend needs it for her bibliography.
Thanks
