Doing a project about banana skin....but I don't know where to start. What type of banana should I use? What is the procedure?

check this link...http://users.wpi.edu/~eghewett/stem.pdf...this about my project...but this type of project is similar to my project...the problem is the methodology are so complex...is there any method instead of that methodology?
