I'm simply trying to walk the tightrope in this thread and draw attention to the information he has given without overloading it with every random question that comes up.

Molecular Cloning
Molecular Cloning
Hi, I really need help doing a molecular cloning experiment.
I am a Ph.D student doing a rotation in a lab that does molecular cloning all the time but I am super confused with all the explanations I am getting.
Basically, I need to make a DNA construct consisting of 3 different DNA sequences.
2 of the DNA sequences we need to isolate from a mice tissue and the third DNA seq. is in a vector.
Then, I will do the Gibson-Assembly PCR experiment to put that…

Question re solar cells, amps and volts and watts
Question re solar cells, amps and volts and watts
My 12 year old daughter is working on a science fair project using solar cells. I’m trying to help her understand how amps and volts work. She understands the concept that amps are like the amount of water going through a hose and volts are the pressure of water going through a hose.
The question is about watts. If you have 12 volts and 6 amps which equals 72 watts is that the same as 6 volts…

She is working on her research right now and trying to find some data about the impact of gasoline and glow fuel planes, cars, and boats on the environment, but she has not been able to find an article that discusses this type of pollution. Does anyone have…

Advice on potential Science Fair Project on bone healing/growth
Hello those on Science Buddies,
I am a highschool junior looking to take part in an upcoming science fair. I have had stress fractures before, so I was interested in doing something related to bone health/healing. I researched the topic, and as such an important topic in medical studies, there seems to be little that I could experiment on that hasn't already been…

Do video game players have faster reaction times than non-players
Do video game players have faster reaction times than non-players
Hi. I am doing this experiment for a science fair project. I'm a little confused when it gets to step 5. I made the scatter plot (not sure if I did it right) and now I have to get the average reaction time. Once I get the average, where do I put that information? Does it go in the scatter plot or in the charts with the individual average times?
Thank you for your…
