Help with standard curve? Help with standard curve? Hello, I am somewhat familiar with the application of the c1v1=c2v2 formula but I am having trouble with a lab question. In this particular lab I must determine the concentration of two unknown BSA solutions by developing a series of standard solutions. I have been provided with a stock solution of 5mg/mL BSA and must make up to 1mL with the BSA and NaCl (1% W/V) and proceed to add 4mL of Biuret reagent. My question is: does the… Read more

Quantum Cryptography Quantum Cryptography I would like to do a project about quantum cryptography which can prove that it is a 100% secure and that it is possible to detect any eavesdropper. I started working on the BB84 but I want to do some kind of experiment or amazing project. Is it even possible for me to build the BB84 system for real? I mean, create photons and a data base in order to keep the basis and polarization results... (I know it is not entirely Math and Computer Science… Read more

Genetics, mutation rate Genetics, mutation rate Hello Sir/Madam I was doing a project similar to the primate line project on this page which allows you to find the rate of mutation. I have used the protein cytochrome c and cytochrome c oxidase from the homo sapiens genome and ran in on the BLAST software to identify the identify percentage in primates. I have been stuck on trying to identify the rate of mutation with the data that i collected. Another calculation that i have which im not… Read more
