Model Mass Driver Parts and Connections

Post by sravyabhargav1 »

When working on the Model Mass driver project, I found that there were no instructions about what to do with the breadboard or which connections to make on it. However, in the photo of the final project, I saw that there were connections made on the breadboard from various parts. Please help me on finding which wires to connect onto which part of the breadboard.

Hi - this is an advanced project, so we don't provide a breadboard diagram like we do for some of our more beginner/intermediate level electronics projects. The assumption is that you will be able to build the circuit based on Figure 6 in the procedure. The breadboard is just used as an intermediate way to make connections between the Arduino and other parts in the circuit. It is particularly useful to use the ground bus on the breadboard since all the parts in the circuit require a common ground. For example, the wires labeled GND on the hall effect sensors all go to the ground bus on the breadboard, which is then connected to a GND pin on the Arduino. If you aren't sure how to use a breadboard, we recommend watching the video on this page before you proceed: https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... breadboard
