Can biodegradable hydrogels be used to conserve water in farming project question

Post by cadams678 »

My daughter is doing her project testing 3 hydrogels to see WHICH one will keep the most water absorbed. The question originally asked on the Sci Buddies project is 'can' hydrogels be used to conserve water...test 3 hydrogels... Is her question an acceptable one? The problem she is running into is not being able to find enough research on the 3 hydrogel recipes from the Sci Buddies project: agar, HEC, and agar + HEC. How would you suggest researching the hydrogels? She wants her hypothesis to be as educated as possible. Thank you for any help you can offer!!
