Hello All -
Hi guys, thank you for letting me join your group.
I had a physics and optics question,
I was out on the West Coast of Florida this summer for vacation and we went to the beach . It was a family group of about 10 of us. Keep in mind it was mid summer - super hot and sunny. The water was flat, calm, and very warm.
I rented a 2 person kayak, and went out on the water with my son who is 7 years old.
We went out on…

Science fair Ideas
Science fair Ideas
Hi,
For this years science fair, I have a lot of determination to get in to my regional science fair. Last year I did attend, but however did not win any awards since my experiment idea was not very creative as others. This year I was thinking of doing an experiment about the eye and its vision or even anything environmental. I want to create this vision simulation, which others have done in the past, but want to create and maybe discover something…

BPA Calibration Curve
BPA Calibration Curve
Hello,
For my science project I am trying to find how the concentration of BPA in water is affected by the amount of time it spends inside of a plastic water bottle. I am aware that to do this I would have to create a calibration curve using different concentrations of BPA, but I do not know where I would buy it and how I would dilute it. Could you provide a few links to reputable sites where I could buy it for this project, and explain how I would…

Finding natural beach sand in Colorado
I live in a landlocked state but am doing a project that needs natural beach sand. What is the best way to recreate or find that sand? Due date in October 30th so I need it fast. Thank you!
Re: Finding natural beach sand in Colorado
Doing a project about sand without access to sand sounds difficult.
A lot depends on your project..... especially since you say you need "natural beach sand." If you can't get…

How can I upgrade my project?
How can I upgrade my project?
I want to make an anemometer, but I feel like it would be sort of pointless to just make one and demonstrate it. How can I take it up a few notches? Should I test wind resistance? Charting the previous wind speeds with the anemometer? The project is due in 2 weeks, so I have some time, but I'll need to okay the rough sketch with my teacher first. Please help!
