VR Project / Eskom Expo for Young Scientistis
VR Project / Eskom Expo for Young Scientistis
Good afternoon,
I am a grade 9 pupil who are entering a science project in the category Computer Science and Software Development.
My focus question will be "Does VR metaverse pedagogy lead to improved learning outcomes compared to traditional education methods?"
The sample test we intend to do is that we get 50 grade 9 boys to participate and write a 10 question test after they read a lesson…

Simple Electric Motor - Measure Impact of Additional Coil Turns
Simple Electric Motor - Measure Impact of Additional Coil Turns
Hi Science Buddies Community.
I'm working on a science fair project with my 7th grader. We are building the simple electric motor and want to study the impact of changing the number of copper coil turns. We are planning to use a C battery, small magnet, copper wire, and two safety pins to form the coil/battery connection. From what I can gather, increasing the…

Question About "How Blue is Your Sports Drink?"
Question About "How Blue is Your Sports Drink?"
Hi, I'm doing this project for school and wanted to know if covering the photoresistor and LED with cuvettes was required. If it is, I was wondering if there were any other object or material I could do it with, since I don't have enough cuvettes. Thank you very much.
Re: Question About "How Blue is Your Sports Drink?"

Questions about growing Streptococcus Mutans
Questions about growing Streptococcus Mutans
Hello! I have a couple of questions I am planning on ordering a live culture from Ward's (Link below - I am ordering the tube with the live bacteria, not the lyophilized one). I want to grow the culture in an MSAT Agar plate for my experiment. My experiment is about testing copper water's effect on the oral microbiome. I have two questions:
1. Would my procedure for inoculating the agar work? I put it…

Engineering Design Question
Engineering Design Question
My child is interested in building a ride on vehicle that would meet the requirements for the maker faire power wheels race. There are a list of requirements and a set budget that are required to build the vehicle. Would completing this project meet the requirements for an engineering design science fair project? The problem would be how to build a vehicle that would meet certain requirements and stay in a specified budget.

How to predict molecule properties?
How to predict molecule properties?
Consider the following isomers, Butane and isobutane, they have different structures and thus different chemical properties. Butane is a good fuel whereas isobutane is good as a refridgerant. Why is one good for one thing and not the other thing? Is it possible to predict the properties of a molecule based on their structure? If so, how?
